2012 Olympic Preparations at Luton Airport

With 2012 Olympics ahead, Luton airport had decided to spend £4m to improve a road access and ease traffic delays.

Road improvement plans have been submitted to Luton Borough Council.

Improvement plan will include two new traffic lanes are to be built south of airport way through an existing underpass leading directly into a newly created set down point.

This will relieve congestion en route to the airport. Work is expected to be finished by mid of June.

Charges for Baggage Trolley doubled at Luton Airport

Passengers who dreamed to spend bargain break this summer and about to fly out of Luton airport are going to stung at the terminal as the price of hiring a baggage trolley has increased to 2£.

Earlier the cost of hiring trolley was £1, but it is increase to £2 which is not refundable. These price hiked has been imposed by Bagport, a bagged service company and it came into effect from 8th July. It is really a worrying thing for passengers who eagerly wait for holiday season to come.

However, a London Luton Airport authority says they have neither asked for this increase nor it will stand to benefit from it financially. It is entire decision of Bagport.
