New low-cost flights from Aberdeen to London

New flights from Aberdeen to Gatwick have been launched.  EasyJet flight will operate its new flights between Aberdeen to London on daily basis. Charges for flight between Aberdeen and Gatwick airport will be £27.99 one way.

Travel Fuss as three busy roads at Aberdeen go for maintenance

Transport bosses have decided to dig up three of Aberdeen’s busiest roads at the same time. The Queen Elizabeth Bridge, on the main route into the city from the Aberdeen-Dundee road will be partially closed for essential repairs in the month of July. Then bridge’s southbound carriageway will be closed for 10 days from July 1 to support the closure of the northbound carriageways. At the same time, neighboring North Esplanade West will run vehicles in one lane in both directions from the bridge to market street for the expected gas works about to take place for eight weeks.

Though road repair works will bring more disruption and delays, it is necessary to remove potholes which have been a major source of complaints from Aberdeen visitors and local people alike.

Gordon McIntosh, the council’s representitive, however admits this new infrastructure work would create more misery for motorists. But they have to bear this short-term pain for long-term benefit and hopes they will happily bear it.
