Passengers at Gatwick airport will be able to use their mobile phones on board outbound flights. Till now, the service was available on a few small business flights running from London City. From May, passengers on Virgin flights to the US, the Caribbean, Dubai, Australia and Africa will be able to call, text and email en route to their holiday destination.
Technology will be set up on all of virgin’s flights flying from Gatwick airport.
